Body as poetry

Midnight Yoga

A small group immersion for times of transition and change

A space for the inner night of transition and liminal experience

Midnight Yoga is for those navigating loss, change, and periods of in-between.

Midnight Yoga is a small group immersion for people moving through transition and change. Inner experience is explored through embodied practice, meditation, reflective dialogue, poetry, storytelling, and shared witnessing.

Movement, breathwork, sound healing, stillness, and guided inner exploration support participants in sensing and understanding what is unfolding within them. The immersion supports emotional fluency, nervous system awareness, and embodied presence as resources for living through times of change.

Neuroscience and neurodivergence

Understanding how transition, loss and grief affect the brain, attention and nervous system, with sensitivity to neurodivergent experience.

Cycles of grief, loss and endings

Honouring personal and collective experiences of loss, completion and letting go as part of human life.

Feminine wisdom, emotional integration and cycles of life

Exploring change through cyclical, embodied ways of knowing, emotional integration across life phases, and simple ritual moments such as shared tea.

Yoga, meditation, breathwork and Sound healing

Somatic practices that support deep processing and regulation. Live sound, voice, bowls or gentle instruments to accompany shifting inner states.

A Space for the Liminal

Midnight Yoga offers a structured and held group immersion for working with transition, change, loss and inner thresholds as they are lived and embodied over time. The immersion supports processes that ask for presence, pacing and care.

Experience is explored through the body and through shared attention. Practices unfold slowly, guided by breath, movement, sound and periods of stillness. Listening happens at the level of sensation, rhythm and inner response.

Alongside personal transitions, many people are also shaped by wider social, political and global changes. These collective conditions often enter the body in unseen ways, influencing how stress, fatigue or grief are experienced. Midnight Yoga acknowledges this collective layer while remaining grounded in each participant’s own lived experience.

Midnight Yoga weaves together contemporary yoga, trauma-aware somatic understanding, meditation, breathwork, poetry, ritual elements, storytelling and feminine wisdom. These strands are held within a sound-supported field that encourages regulation, integration and embodied awareness.

Participants are invited to develop a relationship with their inner processes through presence, curiosity and compassion. This approach supports steadiness through times of transition and change.

Voice, breath, presence, silence and resonant sound as ways of listening to inner worlds and giving form to lived experience.

      Walking the Threshold of Change

Periods of transition, loss and change are lived through the whole body. They shape attention, energy, perception and the way the nervous system organises experience.

Change touches how the brain processes information, how the body responds to stress, and how meaning forms over time. Many traditional cultures recognised this and wove rites, pauses and embodied practices into the rhythms of life.

Midnight Yoga offers a contemporary form of such a threshold experience. Across two core weekends, with the possibility of a third integration weekend, the immersion unfolds as a shared process that can be experienced as a rite of passage, held by community, continuity and relational presence.

The group container supports people as they move through personal transitions within an embodied and relational field.

Midnight Yoga is open to individuals moving through change in their own lives, as well as practitioners and yoga teachers who wish to deepen their understanding of transition as it is lived through the body. The work is informed by contemporary research and held within embodied, experiential practice that supports integration, presence and lived understanding.

        Why Midnight?

Midnight names an inner space rather than an hour on the clock. It points to moments when old orientations loosen and something new has not yet taken form.

These are the threshold times of life. Moments between past and future, between what has been and what is still becoming.

Midnight Yoga is shaped around this inner terrain. Participants are invited to slow down, listen inwardly, and allow experience to be witnessed as it unfolds. Breath, movement, sound, stillness and shared presence create a holding field where inner processes can find rhythm.

This immersion unfolds over time. The weekends form a gradual arc that supports arrival, deepening and integration, allowing change to be met without hurry.

          The story behind Midnight Yoga

Midnight Yoga grew from lived experience. From times of losing home, belonging, relationships, people I love, health, dreams, and familiar ways of being. From standing at thresholds where orientation fell away and something new had not yet formed.

Over time, these experiences shaped an inner landscape. They revealed the need for places where change is allowed to unfold at its own pace. Places where loss, transition and uncertainty are met with presence.

Coming from a storytelling lineage, and from a lifelong relationship with poetry and writing, I weave these elements into the work as nourishment for the soul. As a yoga practitioner and contemporary yoga teacher, I bring over twenty years of experience with embodied life phases. As a bodyworker and trauma therapist, I bring a sensitive awareness of the fragility and strength of our human bodies and condition.

Midnight Yoga grew from this terrain. It arises from the understanding that we need places to pause, listen and stay with what is changing, held by the body, by rhythm, and by community.

Midnight Yoga offers such a place. An inner threshold for those moving through endings, shifts and periods of reorientation, and for those who feel called to meet change with awareness, depth and care.

Whether you are moving through grief, standing on the edge of change, or sensing the need for orientation, Midnight Yoga meets you where you are.

Midnight Yoga is offered as a shared journey for individuals in transition, and for practitioners, therapists and yoga teachers who wish to deepen their understanding of change as it is lived through the body.

            Bring your breath.
            Bring your body.
            Bring what you are carrying.

There is room to arrive, to learn, and to be accompanied through transition.
